My grill is one of my favorite devices for cooking since I regularly make grilled chicken, meat kebabs and this sweet and delicious roasted salmon.
Ingredients of Grilling Recipe For Salmon:
- 1 pound of salmon – boneless without skin.
- 1 small handful of fresh dill – divided.
- 1 additional half lemon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter – canola or olive oil.
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
- 4 6-8 ounces of salmon fillet skin about 1 inch thick.
- 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil.
- 1 lemon, cut into segments.
- Half a cup of reduced soy sauce.
- A quarter cup of olive oil.
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1-inch section of grated fresh ginger root.
- 2 grated garlic cloves
- 2 pounds of salmon, sliced.
Method of Grilling Recipe For Salmon:
- Remove the salmon from the refrigerator and leave it at room temperature for 10 minutes while preparing other ingredients. Preheat the outdoor grill to medium (approximately 375 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Place a folded baking sheet (large enough to hold the piece of salmon) with a large piece of aluminum foil. If you prefer that your food does not touch the fries directly, place a piece of parchment paper on top (make sure none of them are removed when you close the package).
- light aluminum layer with baking spray. Then, place a few sprigs of dill under the center. Cut the lemon into thin slices and place half slices in the middle with dill. Place the salmon on top.
- Sprinkle the salmon with melted butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spread the garlic on top, then place a few springs of dill and the remaining lemon slices over the salmon. Cut a tablespoon of dill and the remaining service reserve.
- Fold the sides of the foil up and over the top of the salmon until it is completely closed. If your chip is not large enough, place a second piece on top and fold the edges under to form a sealed package. Leave some space inside the chips to circulate the air.
- Slide the salmon carefully wrapped over the grill. Close the barbecue and salmon grill for 14-18 minutes, until the salmon matures almost completely in the thickest part.
- The cooking time varies according to the side of the salmon. If your piece is thinner (approximately 1 inch thick), check the first few minutes several times to make sure the salmon does not increase. If the piece is too thick (1 1/2 inches or more), it may take longer.
- Open the grill and carefully open the chip until the top of the fish is completely uncovered (watch out for hot steam). Close the grill and continue roasting until the fish is completely tender about 3 more minutes.
- Look closely at the salmon to make sure it isn’t too much. Remove the salmon from the grill (I like to use the chip to lift it directly on the baking sheet).
- If it still looks a bit, you can roll the paper from behind and return it for a few minutes. Do not let it sit for a long time: salmon can develop from “not done” to “exceed” very quickly. Once it takes off easily with a fork, it’s ready.
To serve, cut the salmon into pieces. Remove the upper branches of the dill and discard them. Sprinkle with fresh dill and cover with the additional pressure of lemon as desired.

How to make grilled salmon on french fries: easy and perfect at all times:
- While you can roast salmon without french fries, I think the french fries option is the easiest and most effective way to roast salmon.
- Using chips to make a package around salmon moisture traps. Ensures that the salmon becomes tender and flaky, not dry.
- With the fries method, you won’t have to worry about breaking the salmon or staying on the grill either.
- Avoid sad, stuck and dry salmon: use foil to roast!
- Here is how to disable this recipe.
To make the best-grilled salmon on french fries, start choosing the best fish:
- Look for bright pink salmon, the smell is fresh but not fishy and, if possible, brutally caught.
- For grilled salmon in foil, I would like to ask a seafood counter to remove the skin for my sake. Again, since the splinters hold the fish together, it does not need the skin to prevent it from collapsing.
- For more information on how to choose salmon, see this baked spicy salmon. I go into more detail about the different types of salmon that I recommend for several reasons. You will need a piece large enough to move around your entire fish, with lots of piles on all sides to make a stack of french fries.
- I recommend using sturdy aluminum foil or at least a thin thickness, as it is less likely to tear.
- A baking sheet is present, making it easy to carry on the grill. When you finish questioning, you can move the stack of chips directly to the right and then transfer them directly to the kitchen (or your table).
- If you do not want your food to touch the chip directly, place a sheet of parchment paper on top of the chip to serve as a barrier. Some have noticed that cooking food directly with french fries is a health problem, so you should feel more comfortable.
Place half of the healthy and Citrus on the Foil:
- Most often, I do a few sprigs of dill and lemon, but you can use any mix of fresh herbs and citrus that you like.
- If you use a stronger herb like rosemary or dill, be more sparing on the herbs. Herbs like dill, parsley, or cilantro are more delicate, so you can be more generous.
- For citrus, use lemon, lime, or orange (or try all 3!). Of these, lime is the strongest.
- Grapefruit is quite bitter, so I don’t recommend it for this particular grilled salmon recipe.
Arrange the Salmon on Top:
Add Butter, Garlic, and Season:
If you prefer not to use butter or need the Grilling Recipe For Salmon in Foil dairy-free, you can use olive oil or another cooking oil of choice.
For seasonings, I like minced fresh garlic, along with plenty of kosher salt and black pepper.
Be generous with the salt and pepper! The more fish you have you need.
More Herbs. More Citrus:
Again, the stronger the herb, the less you will need.
Seal the Foil:
Salmon should be grilled over medium heat, This recipe is written for Grilling Recipe For Salmon in Foil on a gas grill, and it also works for a charcoal grill, Traeger grill, or Big Green Egg.
Once you close the grill, the salmon should cook for 14-18 minutes, until almost completely cooked through at the thickest part. The cooking time will be based on the thick of your salmon.
How to Tell When Salmon is Finished Cooking:
The eternal question! The greatest of salmon crimes (in addition to under seasoning) is overcooking. Here are the best tips to tell when your salmon is done.
- You can check for doneness by taking a sharp knife and peeking into the thickest part of your Grilled Salmon in Foil. If it is beginning to flake, but still has a little translucency in the middle, it is done.
- You can also quickly insert a butter knife into the thickest part of the salmon after about 6 minutes of cooking. Then, remove it and check the temperature of the knife by feeling it.
- If the knife is lukewarm, the salmon needs more time, but if the knife is medium warm, the salmon should be ready to remove (I still recommend cutting into it to check for color).
- If your piece is thinner (around 1-inch thick) check several minutes early to ensure your salmon does not overcook. If your piece is very thick (1 1/2 inches or more), it may need longer.
- Best option: Use an instant-read thermometer like this one (more details below).
What Temperature to Cook Salmon:
- The surest way to determine if your salmon is finished cooking is to use an instant-read thermometer. to measure it for doneness at the center.
- The FDA recommends cooking fish to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. This is great on paper.
- In real life: carry overcooking. I find that salmon and other fish will continue to “cook” as the rest.
