Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (121°C).
- Whisk together the ranch seasoning, oil, and dried dill until combined.
- Place the oyster crackers in a large bowl and pour the seasoning mixture over them. Stir gently to coat the crackers evenly. Adjust seasoning at this point if desired.
- Spread the coated crackers onto a sheet pan.
Baking
- Bake the crackers for 15-20 minutes, until the coating is dry.

Notes
You can use either butter or oil for the coating; oil helps keep the crackers crispier, while butter adds a richer flavor. Dried dill works better than freeze-dried dill because it is more finely ground and has a stronger flavor. The same method can be used with pretzels, cheez its, mini saltines, or popcorn. As written, the crackers have a concentrated ranch flavor; for a milder version, use two bags of crackers instead of one.
